How SECO Kept 500 Conference Attendees Engaged All Day in Atlanta

Our client SECO used Atlanta Magicians by See Magic Live to amaze guests at its 2026 national conference for manufactured housing community owners, and we’re sharing how the day came together.

What guests saw

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, about 500 attendees and exhibitors filled The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, just north of Atlanta, for SECO, the National Conference of Community Owners. Terry Ward hosted the main stage from about 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. He introduced speakers, carried the room through each transition, and broke up the educational sessions with 10- to 15-minute interactive segments built around audience participation.

When the sessions wrapped, Terry moved into the evening welcome reception and performed interactive close-up magic for small groups of attendees as they mingled.

The day after the conference, SECO’s organizer wrote to us: “It was great having Terry at SECO yesterday! I heard many great comments and a lot of laughter & amazement!”

How we prepared

SECO first reached out in December 2025, ten months before the conference, and our founder, Kostya Kimlat, was on the phone with the organizer that same day. On that call we interviewed the team about the day itself. They had a full program of educational sessions and wanted more energy throughout it, a two-hour lunch break in the middle, and a ballroom large enough that they were weighing image magnification so all 500 people could see the faces of volunteers on stage.

That conversation shaped the role: a host for the entire conference day with short interactive segments, plus magic at the reception so attendees had an easy reason to meet each other.

Kostya personally recommended Terry for it. Terry has performed more than 40,000 shows, most of them for Disney guests, including six years headlining the Diamond Horseshoe Revue at Magic Kingdom. He also works as an actor and master of ceremonies, so seven hours of hosting in front of 500 people is a role he’s built a career on.

We briefed Terry on SECO’s audience of community owners, the warm and conversational tone the team wanted, and their goal of connection. Whenever the moment allowed, he was to encourage attendees to meet someone new, visit the Expo, and talk with sponsors. Before the conference, we also filmed a short invitation video with Terry for SECO to use with its attendees.
